Perfect for Veganuary, this book is an introduction to veganism and a holistic lifestyle for those who are just starting out It includes recipes, hints and tips, and obviously a 28 day meal plan with everything you will need right down to a shopping list and instructions for how and when to prepare and cook your food. This is a really great book for anyone curious about veganism, anyone who just wants to have a really healthy month, or even for those like me who wanted of a reminder and a kick start to the year.I ve been a vegan for almost 2 years now, so most of what is in the book was already familiar to me However, it was set out and written really well, and it is always good for me to go back to the beginning and remember why I wanted to become a vegan in the first place I used to do a lot of reading and research on the subject, so I am well qualified to tell anyone that this book is a great place to start out The recipes are very simple but full of good vegan staples and ideas that are easy to adapt and develop into complicated dishes if you were so inclined As they are, they are perfect for those on a budget or don t have much time to cook, so really nobody has an excuse for not giving this a try.I really loved the fact that the author talks about leading a holistic life...

I d been meaning to change my diet for a while and not just because I ve learned I have gallstones Eating healthily really is a priority for me and has become one of my New Years Resolutions I must say that the recipes in this book look super yummy and feature a myriad of items I would never have thought were possible to eat on a vegan diet It is a simple, easy to follow guide that is accessible to everyone, especially those who have no prior experience of the lifestyle and don t know where or how to start This is the definitive guide to plant based living and it doesn t stop at just providing the recipes it also gives helpful information on where to purchase food economically, helpful hints and tips on advance preparation as this is generally the part that takes up the most time and not the act...

The perfect accompaniment to Veganuary If you are Vegan but maybe need to focus on meal prep and cooking ideas rather than convenience foods, or maybe you want to incorporate vegan snacks and dishes in to your diet, or if you are just curious about Veganism, this book has very clear and detailed chapters that cover everything you need to know I found it interesting to read the author s story of how they initially were a junk food addict leading an unhealthy lifestyle with low self esteem, that I m sure a lot of people can relate to, but that a dramatic event brought about a huge change and priority assessment that made them completely change their diet There is a chapter on what store cupboard and fridge ingredients to stock, shopping lists for each week, and clear recipes, calories, instructions for each dish There are also tips on how to store and pick a variety of fruits veget...

The content is interesting and I look forward to trying out the recipes. This book is nicely illustrated with a good variety of recipes.I initially struggled to read it as the formatting is all over the place on my Kindle There are several pages of just upward pointing chevrons 9 consecutive pages at one point Headings don t show well and often have subscript and superscript characters It was fine and looked very nice on my laptop though I now realise that headings such as M E P R on my Kindle should have read Meal Prep The first half is the author talking about why she decided to adopt a vegan diet and the differences it has made to her There is also a self help section on breathing techniques, meditation, exercise and journalling I wasn t so interested in those but I can see that would appeal to some readers. The recipes are nicely laid out with shopping lists and tip for preparing some aspects of meals in advance A good book to get you started on a new way of cooking and eating. With thanks to NetGalley and Bluebird for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.UPDATE I have just got a paper copy of this book and have up...
