Well, this was fun I read this 3 part story quickly last night, and enjoyed it immensely Probably because of the somewhat exotic locale a remote Scottish island of the Hebrides and probably because I enjoy dry British humor This book had both, which was a real plus to me, but unfortunately it also had some editing issues, a downer but nothing that I couldn t get over And, thank you very much, it was not my confusion over any peculiar spelling of the Queen s English The tension amongst the local population as they realize what s happening on their island is real the local spendthrift, the loon, the tart, the divorcee, the hothead is fun to watch as events unravel around them The final third of the book, when the monsters are revealed to have mutated, is horrific, at least in my eyes I was not ready for the book to end when it did Nicely done.
